It is very disappointing and shameful to see the blatant vandalism occurring to the new sidewalk lights along the University Avenue Connective Corridor. My hard-earned tax dollars paid for these improvements and I don’t appreciate them being wasted by those who get their kicks from destroying public property.
Don’t these people realize the area is under video surveillance, not that it should matter? Assuming the perpetrators are students, and chances are they are students, don’t they know they risk their academic careers here at Syracuse University and get a criminal record to boot?
If I happen to see the vandalism occurring, I will immediately call police and press charges against those involved. I sincerely hope that others in our community will also.
