To whom it may concern,

I believe Allie Curtis is the right candidate for the Student Association presidency because her slogan, “students helping students,” encapsulates her time in Student Association, as well as her vision moving forward if elected president.

In previous administrations, there has been a lack of transparency and cohesiveness within the organization. Curtis has worked tirelessly to bring the organization as close as possible while making Student Association as visible and open to the students as it can be.

Since she has been a member of SA, Curtis has been an advocate and leader for both the organization and the student body itself. From her overwhelming recruitment efforts to get the organization to 100-percent representation to her creation of the mentor-mentee program that fosters leadership with new members, the organization has grown leaps and bounds internally.

Curtis’ efforts have not simply been to further the cohesiveness of the organization, but to truly serve the rest of the student body at Syracuse as well. You may have seen Curtis around campus handing out voter registration forms to students to help increase turnout in the upcoming national election, or reaching out to other student organizations about Impact Week to get students off the Hill and into the Syracuse community.

Her leadership within the Dylan Lustig administration has been an asset to our campus. Like Lustig, Curtis has been a huge proponent of fulfilling the core duty of representing her constituents and advocating on behalf of them. Through her time as vice president, she has been a friendly face and a kind friend to turn to for all students. Her personable approach to leadership and her welcoming nature are assets to her leadership and are a rare find among people in such powerful leadership roles.

All of these are qualities I believe are necessary for a student leader, and it is for these reasons that, on behalf of the Entrepreneurship Club, I will formerly endorse Allie Curtis as the right choice for student body president.
